The Ocotillo flower. When you first see an Ocotillo
plant you'll think it's a bunch of dead sticks. Maybe 8 or more
feet tall with sharp thorns the length of the branch. Give the
plant a good rainfall, and a few days, and the entire branch sprouts
bright green leaves. A few days later this flower will bloom on
the end the branch, and a few days later the flower dies, the
leafs fall, and the dead looking sticks are back.
